Samia Akram (Rehman)
Chair & Project Co-ordinator
A Business and ICT teacher with over 20 years expereince in the education sector in various roles from a learning support assistant to a Principal of a secondary school. A firm believer that their should be no barriers to learning, every child is entitled to a good quality education.
David Woollcombe
Founder, President and Chair of Trustees for Peace Child International.
As David writes in his book- Youth Led Development – Harnessing the energy of the youth to make poverty history – ” I believe that our world would benefit immensely from a more muscular inclusion of young people in our decision-making process and in the execution of those development” “…….. Young people can contribute constructively ….. in the years before their 18th birthdays.
Rosey Simmons
Rosey is the co-founder of Peace Child which began as a musical. Rosey has been instrumental in co-producing musicals, a childrens TV series, World Youth Congress, developing educational programmes and leading the headquarters in Hertfordhsire.
Chris Nicholls
Chris is the former Principal of Luton Sixth Form who has spent his life in education starting of as an economics teacher. He remains committed to the idea that young people can be empowered and enabled to use their creativity and energy to make the world a fairer and safer place for all.
Vinod Tailor MBE
Vinod is the Deputy Lieutenant of Bedfordshire (previously High Sheriff), recently awarded an MBE for his work with Age Concern and the Hind Rattan Award. He is the Founder and Director of Prince’s School of Traditional Art and The Prince’s Trust Advisor. Vinod has extensive experience in financial services spanning 32 countries over 44 years.
